As we have seen previously Hive does not provide record level update, insert and delete operations. As well as does not support the OLTP (Online transaction processing). So there has to be some alternative solution for the same in Hadoop eco-system. Yes, there is and this is the one of the popular NoSQL solution known as Apache HBase.
